If ever I lost you, I’d lose so much more,  

my heart’s own rhythm, the laughter we store,  

the warmth of your voice, the light in my eyes,  

the piece of my soul that never says goodbye.

You’re my morning calm and midnight’s grace,  

the gentle pause in a hurried place.  

Without you, joy would feel like a ghost,  

a whisper of dreams that I miss the most.

I’d lose my peace, my quiet and loud,  

the one who sees me through every cloud.  

You’re my best friend, my love, my way home,

the only path I’m certain to roam.

So stay, my anchor, my heart’s gentle shore,  

for losing you would mean losing so much more.
