When Wolves Return

When Wolves Return |
In lands where the moonlight silvers the earth,
Coyotes rise, proclaiming their worth.
They prance in the shadows, their cries a decree,
A fleeting reign where the wolves cannot be.
Coyotes rise, proclaiming their worth.
They prance in the shadows, their cries a decree,
A fleeting reign where the wolves cannot be.
They speak of freedom in cunning tones,
Of claiming lands not truly their own.
Yet freedom is hollow, a shallow guise,
When honor and truth no longer arise.
Of claiming lands not truly their own.
Yet freedom is hollow, a shallow guise,
When honor and truth no longer arise.
For the wolves, unseen, bide their time,
Their silence a verse, their patience a rhyme.
Bound by laws as old as the stars,
They carry the weight of unbroken scars.
Their silence a verse, their patience a rhyme.
Bound by laws as old as the stars,
They carry the weight of unbroken scars.
Coyotes thrive in the absence of might,
Mistaking the dusk for the end of the night.
But the wolves return with unyielding tread,
Awakening truths long thought dead.
Mistaking the dusk for the end of the night.
But the wolves return with unyielding tread,
Awakening truths long thought dead.
Their eyes reflect a deeper creed,
A strength born not of want, but need.
Their path is steady, their purpose clear,
They walk with a weight no coyotes could bear.
A strength born not of want, but need.
Their path is steady, their purpose clear,
They walk with a weight no coyotes could bear.
The wolves do not conquer—they restore,
They guard the sacred, the ancient lore.
Freedom or martyrdom, their silent refrain,
A pledge to uphold what must remain.
They guard the sacred, the ancient lore.
Freedom or martyrdom, their silent refrain,
A pledge to uphold what must remain.
And so, the coyotes scatter in fright,
For they cannot stand the wolves' quiet might.
In their return lies justice earned,
A world reborn, where balance is learned.
In their return lies justice earned,
A world reborn, where balance is learned.
